The All-Star game represents the best of the best in MLB and before the big game there was one just question on our minds: does facial hair enhance performance out on the field? Partnering with STATS, the world’s leading sports analysis company, we performed a light-hearted study and found that facial hair is a fearsome factor to compete with on the diamond. The result? With more than 1,500 placements in major outlets including USA Today, Men’s Health, The Associated Press, Sporting News and Men’s Fitness the campaign garnered 104 million impressions. The campaign’s success has been recognized by top industry media.
The All-Star Facial Hair campaign stood out among hundreds of entries for PR Daily’s 2013 Media Relations Awards in the category of Best Media Relations Stunt. You can see the full list of winners here. If that wasn’t enough, the campaign is also a finalist for PR Daily’s Social Media Awards in the category of Best Use of Social Media for Public/Media Relations.
