HY Connect has made the strategic decision to sell its Chicago office to Myelin Communications for future growth and capabilities development while maintaining streamlined leadership. Myelin Communications, a portfolio company of Baird Capital, operates a network of strong and collaborative communication agencies. Myelin’s network will bring a host of new and additional resources and expertise to HY Connect. The HY Connect Milwaukee office has reverted to its previous name of Hoffman York and will operate independently. A service agreement is in place between the two offices to aid in a smooth and productive transition.
“HY Connect has a built a reputation for long-term client relationships, effective work and smart growth across a variety of industries,” said Myelin Communications CEO Rich Levy who will take on the title of CEO for HY Connect. “That will continue to be the mandate.”
“The goal is no disruption to daily operations and client service,” said HY Connect President Dave Sheehan who will retain his title. “This is an exciting chapter in our agency’s story and I look forward to the support of Myelin and its network in our continued growth.”
Dave Sheehan has run the HY Connect Chicago office since its incorporation in 2002. Since that time it has grown to be one of the largest full-service agencies in Chicago. Staff has grown from a handful to more than 100 thanks to high-profile account wins, a couple smart acquisitions and impressively low staff and client turnover.
According to Levy, HY Connect will continue to be led by its existing, resident leadership team. Terms of the deal will not be disclosed.
