HY Connect and the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago Bring the Magic of Disney to Water Tower Place
This winter season, HY Connect and the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago continue their tradition of bringing holiday magic to the city’s iconic Water Tower Place with another innovative installation. The mall takeover consists of banners throughout the lobby and a five-story elevator cling, featuring a beloved cast of Disney characters. It’s a must-see during this holiday season, and a nice break if you’re worn out from shopping.
Mickey, Minnie and friends can be found at the Museum of Science and Industry in the new temporary exhibit Treasures of the Walt Disney Archives, presented by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club. This special exhibit takes Museum guests through nine decades of Disney history, imagination and innovation and gives guests the opportunity to learn how to draw a favorite Disney character in a facilitated Animation Academy.
To add even more seasonal spirit to the mix, MSI is also featuring the return of the annual Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light displays, where guests can stroll through more than 50 trees beautifully decorated by volunteers from Chicago’s ethnic communities to represent their various cultures and holiday traditions. Guests will also be able to take in the 45-foot Grand Tree in the Museum’s rotunda, accompanied by periods of intermittent falling “snow.” Visit msichicago.org for more information about the exhibits and to purchase tickets.
