CHICAGO (November 10, 2009) The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago, has named Hoffman York as its advertising agency of record. Hoffman York will develop and execute marketing plans that generate awareness for the new, groundbreaking exhibits and extensive science education programs offered by the Museum. The agency will be responsible for creative, strategic planning, media, and research related to the Museum’s advertising campaigns.

“We are pleased to have Hoffman York on board. They are joining us at an exciting time for the Museum as we look to tell the world about our new exhibits, interactive live science experiences and the Museum’s commitment to science education,” said Rob Gallas, vice president and chief marketing officer at the Museum of Science and Industry. “We expect to leverage Hoffman York’s strategic and creative expertise to further connect the Museum of Science and Industry brand with our many loyal fans, as well as to help us develop new ones.”

One of Hoffman York’s first creative assignments was to launch the Museum’s newest permanent exhibit, You! The Experience, a dramatic and unprecedented 15,000-square-foot exhibit. This exhibit is a celebration of the connections between body, mind and spirit that explores our personal health and well being. You! The Experience recently opened on October 8 in the newly created Abbott Hall.

“We are proud to partner with the Museum of Science and Industry, a truly iconic Chicago brand,” said Dave Sheehan, president of Hoffman York. “We are looking forward to a long term relationship where Hoffman York will help to communicate the amazing, transformative and inspirational experiences that happen every day at the Museum of Science and Industry.”
