We are thrilled to announce that four Earned Media campaigns for Wahl clipper, trimmer and pet products are finalists in the Publicity Club of Chicago’s 55th annual Golden Trumpet Awards, the most prestigious awards program in the Midwest honoring superior achievement in the area of public relations and communications. The following campaigns for Wahl Clipper Corporation have been selected as finalists:
- WAHL All-Star Facial Hair. We partnered with STATS to prove facial hair is a natural performance enhancer for baseball players around the MLB All-Star Game. Category: Marketing-Consumer.
- Mustaches at Work Tour. Advocating for facial haired Americans, we hit the road with research that promoted the rights and benefits of facial hair in the workplace. Category: Marketing-Lifestyle.
- Wahl Head-to-Head Challenge. We teamed up with two professional football players to raise money for St. Baldrick’s Foundation, supporting childhood cancer research and awareness. Category: Issues Management
- Dirty Dogs Contest. We brought Wahl and Petfinder Foundation together to raise awareness for National Dog Adoption Month and help clean up America’s shelters. Category: Social Media- Campaign.
The awards ceremony is Wednesday, June 4, in Chicago.
