As the popularity of facial hair grows, so does the need for proper grooming tools and techniques. HY Connect’s PR team again traveled the country with Wahl, an industry leader in men’s grooming tools, to show guys how to put their best face forward.

With the addition of Wahl’s newest product, the Triple Play, which is the first lithium ion shaver and trimmer, the tour added shaving tips and was renamed Face the Day tour. New graphics, developed by the HY Connect creative team, were deployed on the mobile barbershop and WahlNation.com.

Everywhere the barbershop went cameras were sure to follow. In each market, the PR team coordinated media interviews that ranged from live in-studio makeovers to packaging the latest facial hair trends for newspaper style columns. The tour received an average of 30 media placements per market. All the “buzz” led to guys lining up for their free turn with an expert stylist.

While the barbershop pulled away from its last tour stop in early October, don’t despair, you can still advance the cause of great facial hair by casting your vote in the Wahl Man of the Year contest through Nov. 28 at WahlNation.com.
