For the second year, the Museum of Science and Industry’s (MSI) seasonal exhibits have taken over the holiday décor of one of Chicago’s most popular shopping destinations, Water Tower Place. HY Connect worked in conjunction with Water Tower Place and General Growth Properties to bring about a spectacular Christmas display in the vestibule of the mall. The seasonal display includes hanging banners, a holiday-themed light show and a 5-story-tall elevator cling featuring the beloved Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts Gang. The campaign will run through January 6.
“Charles Schulz’s Peanuts characters have made us smile for nearly 50 years. We love being able to work on an MSI exhibit that touches so many people’s hearts, especially around the holidays,” said HY Connect Senior VP Client Services Mike Smith.
The Christmas campaign promotes two exhibits at the Museum of Science and Industry: Charlie Brown and the Great Exhibit, which opened October 25, and Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light, which opened November 15. Charlie Brown and the Great Exhibit explores the life of legendary funnies author/artist Charles Schulz, with interactive elements such as playing a tune on Schroeder’s piano and trying on Peanuts’ costumes. Christmas Around the World, MSI’s popular annual holiday exhibit, showcases holiday traditions from different cultures with over 50 decorated trees. Visit www.msichicago.org for more information.
