“Where does it hurt?” HY Connect launches Wahl Massagers website

Wahl Massager Site ImageThe new Wahl Massagers website we developed is a groundbreaking resource that is now accessible to consumers looking for effective ways to cope with the side effects of chronic pain.

Living with chronic pain is a prevalent medical issue many people must deal with on a daily basis. With an increasing demand for information on alternative pain management, we had a great opportunity, and also a challenge, to develop an innovative lifestyle website that would be the go-to source for massage and pain management. Our goal was to create an easy-to-use website that would go into detail on the effects of massage on the body, specifically chronic pain benefits and solutions. For example, the interactive “Where Does It Hurt?” and “What Is Your Condition?” sections help consumers determine which massager will be most effective in addressing their personal needs by allowing them to pinpoint their pain on a diagram of the human body. In addition, the site also features massage guides, product information and customer testimonials. Continue Reading…

Using QR codes to bridge the print/digital divide

Notre Dame Executive MBA Program QR AdOne of the most difficult assignments in advertising is to get your audience to respond to a printed piece by going online. That bridge from print to digital is among the hardest ones to cross. But our recent work for University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business shows we’ve found a good way to make that connection.

A fast-moving target needs a smarter solution
We knew we had a challenge with our target audience – business-oriented, career-minded individuals. Always on the go with zero time or patience to type out a URL. But we also knew that they are big-time smartphone users. Continue Reading…

Insights from taking my holiday shopping mobile

I don’t know about you, but I dread the holiday shopping season. I’m overwhelmed by all of the choices in the stores, the crowds and the parking hassles. My typical approach is to order everything online at the very last minute.  This of course means that I’ve often wrapped the ad for the gift that’s on the way, but not under the tree.

An original “retro” holiday song is the ticket to promoting holiday scratch games.

Recently, HY Connect was challenged with the task of promoting holiday scratch games on the radio for
The Wisconsin Lottery. Needless to say, when the words “holiday” and “radio” are in the brief, it’s fairly difficult (if not downright impossible), not to think of holiday music. But we didn’t want to just add lyrics to a popular song. So we set out to create an original piece that captures the fun of gift giving and the holidays
in general. Continue Reading…
